1 John 4:9-11

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

How We Met

08.21.17

It started at GAP circa 2014. We were both full time students working part time jobs. We didn't really think much of each other because we rarely saw each other. I left Gap for a new opportunity at Apple. There I saw a familiar face walk through the store after not seeing her three plus years. My heart instantly felt something special when I saw her and when I briefly caught up with her. During the same time I was volunteering at a coffee house later that week and again we saw each other! Only the Lord can explain the feelings I felt seeing her again. Just like the first two times at Apple, we started to catch up with one anothers’ lives. As a timid and shy individual I nervously asked her out for lunch, which turned immediately into dinner that same week, followed by coffee dates, and even attending church together. - D

How We Got Engaged

02.24.19

The day had been going relatively normal like any other day, and Danny was his calm and collected self only mentioning once about leaving a party we were at that evening by a reasonable time. After we had left, Danny threw out the idea about going to the Griffith Observatory spontaneously. This wasn't anything out of the ordinary because we are always trying to find ways to stall our time together :) It was funny that he mentioned the observatory because we had already tried going there twice before in the past year and had failed miserably to find parking both times! I mentioned to him briefly about how we can't be upset if it doesn't work out...he didn't seem worried. After we found parking at the observatory, Danny was taking a while to "change his shoes," (aka getting the ring all situated), which I was completely oblivious to. We had agreed to walk up, check out the view and leave pretty soon after (or so I thought!). After we walked in, Danny saw a small path off the balcony, which at first I didn’t want to go down might I get my “shoes dirty.” When we got down the path a little, it was far enough from the balcony that we were secluded from the crowd. As we talked, looking at the beautiful LA skyline, Danny started pausing after sweet statements towards me and then all of a sudden got down on one knee! I couldn't believe it (Danny thought I was going pass out)! It was a special moment for just he and I, what a blessing and complete answer to both of our prayers. And here we are! - K
