Bridesmaid
Amanda is the baby nurse of the group ( but really she's an L&D RN)! She is the epitome of sweetness but also sometimes spicy. She loves my godcat Harry, squishmallows, the holidays and all things outdoors. You can find her baking the best desserts or doing Target Runs with me for all our house decor we don't need.
Bridesmaid
Erica has been my Nurse Bestie since 2019. We have worked through the lowest points of Covid-19 Pandemic as bedside nurses to our promotion as the Charge Nurses of Thoracic Surgery/Med-surg unit! Erica and I share the love all the kitties, plant shopping and makeup inspo. She is one of the funniest people I know.
Bridesmaid
Emily is the life of the party( and the hostess of her infamous Halloween parties). She was a savior to me as a new nurse, always happy to help and teach. We are such foodies and love a good ole cup of Casablanca Tea at The Whistling Kettle. Emily is THE hype woman every woman deserves and I am fortunate to have her.
Maid of Honor
Mykela has been a steady best friend for the last 10 years/college roommate. She is the beautiful curly haired Latina with a spicy personality that is sure to leave an impression on you. She is a true city girl that loves brunch and thrifting. I could always count on her to stand by me & to give me tough love. We share the love of fluffy animals, makeup inspiration and crude humor. You have seen me at my worst which is multicolored leggings and our matching neon rain boots. I am so happy our wardrobe has evolved since then.
Best Man
Jahvaughn has been an instrumental part of my life since we met in 2014. Originally starting as housemates we quickly became close friends through similar interests and our shared background. Jahvaughn is the joker of the group and always tries to keep the mood light and carefree. He’s always had my back when I’ve needed him and, I am honored to call him my Best Man.
Groomsman
Javell and I met back in 2010 as two young black men with large goals and aspirations. Since then both have grown side by side as we joined Alpha Sigma Phi and spent years as house mates. When it comes down to it I know I always have his support as we motivate each other to be better. We’re not blood but he will always be my brother and an invaluable friend.
Groomsman
I met Will through Javell in 2015. In that time he became much more than an acquaintance and has become one of my closest friends. In our circle he is the modest, philosophical one that never fails to drop some wisdom when we least expect it. The loyalty, integrity and honor he displays are second to none. He is a great friend I always want in my corner.
Groomsman
Tj was one of the very first friends I made when we went to college in 2010. We were at the same orientation and fate would put us in the exact same classes pursing the same major. Our bond grew throughout the years as we became brothers of Alpha Sigma Phi, lived together and even spent countless hours toiling over our shared coursework. He is a man who is dedicated, virtuous and honorable who without fail always tries to keep his friends on the right track. Just don’t invite him out to do anything after 10pm. I’m thankful to have him in my life and hope he remains as a lifelong friend.
Groomsman
I met Gary ‘Grizzly’ Shear through TJ in 2010 and he has become a great friend ever since. He has been by my side as a brother of Alpha Sigma Phi and helped me through some of my toughest moments within the fraternity. In my friend group Gary is humble, quiet & hilarious at the same time. I’ve come to realize that some of the funniest moments I’ve experienced during college were with this man. Thank you for continuing to add that bit of happiness to all those around you.
Groomsman
I met Jeff in 2011 and he has been a great friend ever since. We connected over our mutual love of sports and he became an integral part of my friend group. He is a fellow brother of Alpha Sigma Phi or as he would say “We tricked him”. As the tallest of us we ended up looking up to him. However it wasn’t just because of his height but because of his humble and optimistic demeanor. To this day he remains a solid rock in my life always proving that he wants the best for me and those around him.
Officiant
Dave is my cousin Vanya's husband, but to me he has become a pillar in my life. Growing up as a young woman he has been a voice of reason, always supportive and guiding me to make the best decisions for my future. I can not thank him and his wife Vanya enough for being such positive influences in my life. I could not imagine my wedding day without him officiating for my future husband and I.
