We met through the NPHC community, a space that helped shape who we are long before we met each other. As a proud Delta and a dedicated Omega, service, commitment, and legacy were already cornerstones in our individual lives. What we didn’t expect was that those same values would quietly draw us together. At first, it was simple—conversation, laughter, an easy connection that felt natural. We kept finding ourselves in the same rooms, at the same gatherings, sharing moments that felt effortless. And somewhere between familiarity and friendship, something deeper began to form. Ours isn’t a rushed love. It’s a grown one. It’s built on consistency. On showing up. On choosing each other again and again. Like the kind of love you recognize not because it’s loud—but because it feels steady. Safe. Certain. Then, during what began as a holiday vacation in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on December 21, 2024, came certainty. With warmth in the air and joy all around us, Edric got down on one knee in front of Christ the Redeemer. Time slowed. The world faded. And the answer was easy. YES!
