What better way to start this new chapter than with family and friends surrounded by the beach. We have chosen to do a destination wedding to celebrate our union. We truly hope that you will consider joining us in Puerto Rico to celebrate one of the biggest days of our lives!
From Her: I go out on occasions but I prefer to stay home( I love my bed and tv time). This night I accepted my friends invitation to go to the opening of a mutual friends restaurant and who would have know that my decision to go out would change my world! As we were celebrating with friends the owners brother approached us to say “Good Night” and was telling my friend that he renovated the back of the restaurant. I was intrigued because I had a space in my daycare that needed renovations. I asked for his number solely for business purposes, before the night was over I got a text message asking me if “I made it home safely”…. Without realizing it, we were talking back and forth and the rest is history. I’m glad I decided to go out that night =] P.S.- that daycare renovations still isn’t done to this day lol
From Him: I bought her ring weeks before the day i proposed. I Wasn't sure when I was going to do it but i knew when the time was right it would happen. On Mother's Day I bought her flowers (her love language lol) and asked her if she wanted to go for a drive. Before i could get to the destination she asked me " is this where we went for our first "date"… which it was. We went to the park In Howard Beach and while sitting on the bench and looking at the water I got down and asked her to be my wife. She said "yes, of course". It was exactly how we have always envisioned the moment... Intimate and all about us in that moment.
We have been hanging out with the same circle of family/friends for over ten years and have never met each other. We actually spoke about several events that we were both at but never saw each other. I also worked in a building that he frequented regularly and never crossed paths. Timing is just everything; it took a lot of growing and learning from mistakes for us to get here. Now we're ready to spend the rest of our lives together.
