What is Camp Choconut?
Camp Choconut is in Friendsville, PA, part of the Endless Mountains Region on the NY/PA border. It is a decommissioned summer camp with a mess hall, bunk beds, an indoor gym, hiking trails and it sits on a private lake.
How rustic is this place?
It's rustic! Be prepared to enjoy the great outdoors. The camp has some beautiful buildings but you will be walking outside between them and walking to bathrooms. The camp has running water and indoor toilets.
Where should I stay?
If you love the idea of sleeping on a cot (BYO bedding!) with friends in a shared cabin, breaking out your tent and sleeping under the stars or using your camper then stay at camp.
If you prefer privacy, a guaranteed comfy bed, and not bringing your own linens then stay at a hotel.
Why are you dragging us out here?
Because it's freaking gorgeous and we love to be outside. In all seriousness though, this will be peak foliage season so be ready to be in awe.
