After Dan contacted Anna via a dating app, they set their first date on September 13th at PB Sushi. When Dan and Anna first met, the chemistry was unlike any other. That magical spark was lit and four hours later, not only did they not want their first date to end, but they knew they were ready to explore what the future held.

Meeting the family, celebrating holidays, and being completely inseparable, the magic continued to between Dan and Anna throughout the year.

Dan and Anna knew they had found the perfect match and were ready to take the next step into their future together. Being the gentleman, Dan asked Anna’s father Jon for his blessing on the proposal. After spending a day feeding the giraffes and rhinos at the San Diego Safari Park, Dan diligently set up an amazingly unique and equally wonderful engagement. Writing a personalized poem in five cards, he placed them in the windows of all the places that held significance for them (such as the place of their first date). After a scavenger hunt of clues, adorably meaningful poems and a list of reasons why Dan fell in love with her, Anna drove around Pacific Beach until she ended up by Crystal Pier. There, she found Dan waiting for her with a bouquet of pink roses. After sharing how much the relationship meant to him and how much his love for her has grown, Dan got on one knee and proposed in front of a crowded street fair. Many people stopped and cheered as Dan placed the ring on her finger. The rest of the day continued to be the best day of their lives!

After a lot of searching, Dan and Anna found the perfect venue and officially set the date of their wedding... June 16, 2019
