We met in 2012 through a mutual friend of ours -- the Internet. The first day -- August 26, 2016 The yes day -- September 4, 2020 The best day -- April 29, 2022

We were on our 4 year anniversary trip up north in Petoskey. We spent the day exploring breweries (if you know us, surprise, right?) and wineries around Petoskey. While ending our afternoon, we were driving back to our hotel & Josh mentioned that he wanted to go to the International Dark Sky Park in Mackinaw City. I told him that it was too far away from where we were and the next words out his mouth threw me by surprise, "Well, let's go somewhere romantic". For those of you who know Josh, he is not the romantic type so for him to say something like this was out of the ordinary. We decided on going to the Sunset Park in Petoskey. We hung out in the room until it was time to head to the park, in which I fell asleep, & Josh wandered Boyne to calm nerves. We headed to Sunset Park & Josh proposed, I cried, he, cried, we cried, & I said "yes".
