We're getting married!!!!

April 14th, 2012 I was transitioning jobs and one my old co-workers told me she had someone she wanted me to meet. She said she had never mentioned it before because we worked together and if it didn't work out between me and this person, she didn't want it to be awkward between her and I. Since I was out celebrating my new job, I told her to send him my way! We met at The Distillery. I got there first with a friend and I saw Sarah walk in. I asked where Gary was and she said he was right behind her. After scanning the bar, I saw him solo at the bar taking a shot of tequila. His nerves had gotten to him! We talked and hung out for quite a while that night. He later told me he was very impressed that I was a girl who drank beer. He invited me out on his dad's boat the next day, and the rest is history!

Gary, Lukas and I had just returned from a 5-day vacation to Orlando. We were unpacking and I was in the kitchen. Lukas summoned me into the bedroom where he was holding my ring and said "Daddy wants you to wear this" I looked up at Gary and he said "Babe, will you marry me?" Of course, I said yes and hugged both my boys. <3
