We're Getting Married !

It was a warm August afternoon in 2011 when fate first brought Jamel and D’anlyn together at Scott Lake Park. From the stands, D’anlyn spotted Jamel laughing and joking with a friend of hers. His energy was magnetic, and he couldn’t resist teasing her when their eyes met. Laughter sparked between them, but before they could truly connect, D’anlyn had to leave—no numbers exchanged, just a fleeting moment left to destiny. A few months later, on a chilly October night, fate gave them another chance. D’anlyn had just come from cheerleading practice to watch her brother play football when she spotted Jamel again, this time with his friends. The game was nearly empty, and she knew she couldn’t let another moment pass. Gathering her courage, she walked up to him and asked, “Hi… do you remember me?” Jamel’s response? A casual “No.” Embarrassed, she walked away. But as she sat alone in the stands, her heart raced when she saw Jamel heading toward her. He stopped before her and asked, “Can I sit with you?” She smiled and said, “Sure.” And just like that, two kids sat together under the glow of the stadium lights, never realizing they were at the beginning of their love story.
