Maid of Honor
Kay and Taylor met during college on a spring break trip their sophomore year. They quickly became inseparable, doing everything from spending late nights in the library together, to attending sorority socials and hanging out with each other's families on holidays. After many years of Kay trying to drag Taylor to the west coast, she finally move to Seattle in late 2021. It's been comforting and delightful to be spending so much time together after many years of being 2000+ miles apart.
Best Man
Bill is the older of Dan's younger brothers. Despite being younger, Bill has been a role model for Dan in so many ways. From playing knee hockey in the living room as kids to being adults living on opposite coasts, in him Dan has always had a brother he could rely on and trust to be loving and honest. He and his wife Taylor live in Boston with their baby daughter, Mila, and dog, Chauncey.
Bridesmaid
Kay and Andee met within the first year of Kay moving to Seattle. The two quickly bonded over working for non-profits and their love of dogs, breweries, shopping and adventuring together. Over the past few years, Andee has influenced Kay's life in such a positive way, helping me grow as an individual and has been a dear friend along the way.
Groomsman
When John and Dan were randomly paired as freshman year roommates at Notre Dame, they had no idea they were going to meet a lifelong friend. John, like Dan, is the oldest sibling from a large Catholic family with a youngest sister, Annie, with Down Syndrome. These similarities were just the start as they grew together at Notre Dame and beyond as they visited each others' families for holidays and each others homes. John lives in New York City with his wife Claire and son Patrick.
Bridesmaid
Rachel is Kay's cousin on her mom's side. Growing up, Rachel was always like an older sister to Kay. Whether it was fishing, playing Nertz or spending time at the lake house, you could always find Kay by Rachel's side. As they've grown older, the two have kept a special bond. Kay is Godmother to Helen, Rachel's youngest. Rachel resides near Minneapolis with her husband PJ, her kids Cora, Noah and Helen, and their dogs.
Groomsman
Aaron is the younger of Dan's younger brothers. When they were boys, Aaron would revel in being able to push Dan's buttons. As they grew together, a foundation of shared hobbies and personalities evolved into the digital friendship they have remotely as Aaron lives in the Detroit area with his dog, Ari.
Bridesmaid
Miranda has been an absolute blessing in Kay’s life! I'm thankful for marrying into the same family and becoming cousins on top of friends. Kay met Miranda & Ryan on Dan and her's third date and ever since they've been doing cabin weekends, camping, playing so much Euchre & board games, seeing Brandi Carlile perform and so much more. Miranda has been there every step of the way in Dan and Kay’s relationship and they couldn't be more grateful.
Groomsman
Ryan is Dan's older cousin, son of Ted and Nancy Gitter. Ryan is the older brother that Dan and Ryan didn't think they wanted until they were teenagers. As young kids nearly every family gathering or play date involved at least one fight between Ryan and Dan. Little did they know that they would be lifelong friends whose friendship would span a continent with Ryan, his wife Miranda, and their dog Zoey living just north of Dan and Kay's house.
Bridesmaid
Kay met Maddie the same day she met Ryan & Miranda! Kay hit it off with Maddie instantly, both being from Wisconsin. What was one night of trivia became trivia for the next three years along with many camping, trips to the coast, Euchre, indulging in their love for cheese & thrifting (not at the same time) and hours and hours of talking. Making friends as an adult is hard they say, but with Maddie, it was as easy as making a friend on the first day of Kindergarten. Maddie is our officiant as well!
Groomsman
Matt and Dan have known each other since kindergarten at St. Lawrence elementary school. In elementary school they were goods friends and in high school at De La Salle their friendship was cemented as they played football together and were inseparable outside of school playing games, shooting each other with air soft guns, and eating too much Taco Bell. Matt lives in the Detroit area with his wife Maria and their baby daughter Sophia.
