The celebration begins with traditional pre-ceremony moments. The men gather with Josh for singing, while the women gather with Danit for Kabbalat Panim, a welcoming tradition in which Danit offers blessings to the women in her life. Josh and his group then sing and dance their way to Danit for the bedeken, when Josh veils Danit. He briefly checks under the veil as a reminder of an ancient story in our tradition, symbolizing the importance of truly seeing one another and entering marriage with intention, trust, and clarity.

The wedding ceremony. The chuppah is the canopy under which Danit and Josh are married. It symbolizes the home they will build together — open on all sides to represent hospitality, community, and the loving life they will share.
