Umkhehlo is a celebratory gathering where the bride is formally introduced to the community as a woman who is about to get married. It is a Zulu custom for the bride to be gifted by her family & guests during this joyful event filled with traditional music and dance. Membeso is a ceremony where the groom's family delivers gifts to the bride's family as a gesture of appreciation and respect for raising her. It usually takes place after lobola and before the actual wedding.
