Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved hotel rooms for our guests that are 2 blocks from the reception ballroom and 2 blocks from the welcome party. Please visit the Travel page on our website for hotel details and booking information. We have also listed other options in Central Park near shopping and restaurants which is about a 10-15 minute drive from the reception ballroom.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Guests may fly into Richmond International Airport (RIC) or Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Richmond is the closer airport (about 50 miles), while Reagan offers a wider range of flights. Fredericksburg is easily accessible from both by car or train.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 15–30 minutes before the ceremony start time to allow time for seating.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to dress in cocktail or semi-formal attire. Given our ceremony will take place at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, we encourage attire that is respectful of the church setting. Jackets, dresses, and dressy separates are appropriate.

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place indoors. The ceremony will be held at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, followed by a cocktail hour and reception at Fredericksburg Square in the heart of Historic Downtown Fredericksburg.

What should non-Catholic guests expect during the ceremony?

We are truly grateful you are here to worship with us on this special day! Our wedding ceremony will be a Catholic Mass. Guests can expect prayer, readings, music, and a homily, followed by the exchange of vows. Non-Catholic guests are warmly welcome to participate through standing, sitting, kneeling, praying, and singing as they feel comfortable. Programs will be provided to help guide you through the ceremony.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony. Our photographer will capture all the special moments, and we want everyone to be fully present and enjoy the experience.

What is the parking situation?

Answer

Saint Patrick Catholic Church: Plenty of parking is available in the church lot. We recommend allowing a few extra minutes to find a spot before the ceremony. Fredericksburg Square: Guests may park on nearby downtown streets or use the Sophia Street Parking Garage at 600 Sophia St, Fredericksburg, VA 22401, just two blocks from the reception. Rates are $2 for the first 3 hours, $1 per hour thereafter, with a maximum daily fee of $8. It is also available for the rehearsal dinner and welcome party. Rideshare options are convenient if you prefer not to drive.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Due to space limitations, we are only able to accommodate guests listed on the invitation. Thank you for understanding.

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration. We appreciate your understanding and hope this allows everyone to relax and enjoy the evening.

Is transportation provided?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided. The reception venue, Fredericksburg Square, is conveniently located within walking distance (approximately two blocks) from the hotel.
