We both worked at Kohl's in Anderson together, at first we would just see each other in passing and not talk to each other at all. However, once the holiday season started to pick up we were put on the same team for online orders. Month after month. Every single day a week. 8 to 12 hours a day. After a while we started to notice we were becoming attracted to each other. Later we found out that whenever we would go in for a shift we would look at the schedule to see if we were working together that day. After much back and forth we eventually confessed our feelings for each other on December 15th, 2021. Less than a week later, we decided to go to a Waffle House one night together since we were the only ones on online orders that night, this would then end up becoming our first date on December 18th, 2021. The next day, we were going to go to Chili's for an official date after leaving work. However, they were already closed by the time that we got there and there were not many other places to pick from at that time, so we just sat in the car together and talked while holding hands for the first time. We talked all night and made actual plans to go on a more "official" date the next day before going to work. On this day, December 20th, 2021 is the day we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend and had our first kiss. A couple months into our relationship we realized that it had to be either fate or a miracle that we met through working together. Why? Both of our parents met through working together and being co-workers! Fast-forward almost two years, on November 12th, 2023 the day we got engaged. We want to take a moment and say a huge Thank You to everyone who supported us and loved us wholeheartedly throughout our entire relationship. Also, a even bigger shout-out to our former co-workers from Kohl's. If it were not for them telling us that there was chemistry between the two of us, we may have never had the courage to confess our feelings to one another.
