COVID-19 Details (updated April 8th)

Any updates for our wedding festivities will be noted here

Thank you all for your patience as we work through these uncertain circumstances. It has been an incredibly stressful process for us to make sure we are protecting our guests as much as possible while the risks are ever changing. We have continued to monitor the COVID-19 situation since our last update on February 21st. As we stated previously, our initial restriction to require that all attendees be fully vaccinated was intended to protect our guests as best as possible. Our intention is to take the most conservative approach possible given the known variants that are present in our area. This is especially important considering the family members we have who are immunocompromised and the number of international guests who are attending. However, as the past few months have shown, variants in NJ right now have proven to result in more mild symptoms and the data has shown that people who are vaccinated are incredibly unlikely to be hospitalized. Knowing this, we have decided to open our wedding to those who are unvaccinated if they receive a negative result from a PCR test within 72 hours of our wedding (which would be any time after Wednesday, April 27th, at 4:30pm). We also stress that our guests be cognizant of their health and symptoms over these next few weeks and just prior to the wedding. We recommend purchasing some at-home tests for your awareness and bringing a mask to the wedding in the event that you feel uncomfortable in any way. Although vaccines protect us and allow our body to tackle the virus without the need for hospitalization, they do not outright prevent people from getting the virus or transmitting it. Please respect the personal space of guests who you may not know, especially the elderly. We (Jenna and Daniel) will be doing our best to isolate before the wedding and take at home tests periodically throughout the week prior. Again, we appreciate everyone’s patience with this topic as it has come down to the wire. We are excited to celebrate with all of you! --- Previous Update (Feb 21st) When we became engaged in the Summer of 2020, we decided to have our wedding in 2022 in the hopes that the pandemic would be behind us. But these are the times, and, despite its impact, we can’t wait to celebrate our love with you. In order to ensure fun, however, we feel we must first ensure safety — for all guests, especially those at higher risk. That’s why after careful consideration we’ve decided that in order to attend our wedding you and your guest(s) must be fully vaccinated. We understand that it’s a complex topic with a lot of nuance. We’d love for you to attend our wedding but please help us to ensure that our wedding can be joyous and safe for all in attendance. Please don’t leave your COVID-19 vaccination cards at home, as they’ll be checking them at the front door of the venue and the last thing we want is for you to get turned away. For NJ Residents, the "Docket" app is an acceptable digital copy of your vaccination records. We are monitoring the situation on a week-to-week basis. If you have any questions, please contact Daniel.
