Longwood Gardens

Located in Kennett Square, just a 20 minute drive from West Chester. This is a huge public garden, spanning over 1,100 acres that showcase thousands of plant species. Guests can wander through the various gardens and inside of the conservatory - different themed rooms, each highlighting specific types of plants from around the world. A very iconic spot!

The annual West Chester Christmas Parade & Tree lighting will be on Friday, Dec 5th and 6:30pm in the heart of town if you are here and interested! The official lighting of West Chester’s stunning new 28-foot Christmas tree begins Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. with live musical performances on the lawn of the Historic Chester County Courthouse. Then at 7 p.m., join emcees Adam Joseph, of 6abc, and Kathy Romano as the historic streets of downtown West Chester fill with your favorite marching bands, dance troupes and holiday surprises including the most-anticipated appearance of them all: Santa!
