Nashville, TN We met in 2004. We were MSU Pom Squad teammates who became the very best of friends. It started Freshman year at Mississippi State University, on the sideline during the Maroon is all that Matters campaign. We’ve shared Hump hotdogs, car rides to Cheers!, Spring Break in Destin, dance steps and hair flips. Our text messages haven't stopped in the last 17 years. Amber makes me giggle and giggle hard; I won't be able to look at her during my ceremony, we might have an episode. Spencer knows when he is marrying me, he is getting US! Amber is the Britney to my Beyoncé, salt to my pepper, Meredith Grey to Christina Yang; she was the first text after meeting Spencer on our first date. "Hey! I think I just met the man of my dreams. Save this text when I marry him." 5.. 6.. 7.. 8..

Seattle, WA We met in 2019. Mans best friend - State Kicker Gray; everyone thought it was too soon to get a dog, but we knew we would be together forever and the opportunity was too good to pass up. Dani always wanted a chocolate lab, but my mom called in early June and mentioned she was getting an aussiedoodle. Dani did a quick google search and it was over! State has been referred to as special, loving and even magical, he has this twinkle in his eye and reminds me a lot of our relationship. He doesn't go without not only meeting a stranger, but loving them. State is the Team Gray mascot. His bluemerle coat makes him more unique than the rest, similar to our relationship. Our trio is unstoppable, I can't wait to Drive thru Country the rest of my life with my team. Let's Go State!

Atlanta, GA We met in 2007. KB is my partner in crime, who might be younger yet so wise. She is my soul sister from a different mister. Family vacations, family dinners or holidays, Kelli is my ride or die, willing to be front row of a concert in Louisiana the night before a major SEC football game match up in StarkVegas. We traveled the whole southeastern conference cheering on our bulldogs in all sports. Kelli is reliable and never lets even a small occasion pass without acknowledging it. KB is the bestie who I had an exit plan with in case I needed one, when I let her know about meeting Spencer for our first date. Day of the date, she called and I let her know he was nice and no exit was needed. She is always one call away! Even if separated by 3 time zones.

New York City, NY We met in 1989. He has been my cousin, co-star and co-host for as long as I can remember. We grew up in front of the camera entertaining our families; whether an improv, comedy or skits we bonded over several things. One special bond, was with our Grandparents and a trip to Northeast Iowa. Alex is family and a friend.

New Orleans, LA We met in 2008. My biggest cheerleader since Miss Mississippi, I remember meeting Dante during a Final Night Celebration; we ended up talking talent/tumbling. Throughout the years and social media, he always saw my invisible crown and empowered me to chase my dream of being Miss MS. Fast forward, I didn't win the crown but gained a brother! I will never forget 2010 when it was supposed to be my year, Dante shared this with me: James 1:12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. I remember when Spencer & I won our Tiffany's experience. Dante and I just cried! The crown worth waiting for, to the love of my life. Love WINS, Crown me Miss Gray!

Des Moines, IA We met in 1991. She is my baby sister and I love her! Growing up we have wonderful childhood memories together, now as adults we have become more like friends. Hanging out with Jenna we explore and try new foods, she has visited me in a few places I have lived Seattle, Vancouver and Houston. I appreciate that my sister understands me and has always pushed me to be a good big brother, even if she doesn't know it.

Santa Rosa Beach, FL We met in 1999. My baby sister from the DOC. When we’re together we just wish upon a star. Jessica is the friend that allows me to believe in magic and Tiffany's; we bonded over Disney. My first babysitting job in our hometown of Meridian, MS, I was asked to travel to the most magical place on Earth with the coolest kid, Jess. I love making memories and growing up with Jess. She has always motivated me to be a role model and treated me like a big sister. We never want to grow up! Top Magical Moments: 1. Jessica winning Mississippi Cinderella Miss 2. Cedar Rapids, IA We met in 2005. A camp I did not want to do; Business Horizons Camp, lead me to a lifelong friend. I have memories from high school continuing our friendship when I would visit him in college. Jeremy likes to travel so he would always visit me in the locations where I was living at the time. From being a groomsman in his wedding to whale watching in San Juan Islands, this friendship is consistent. When we talk we talk a while, I can't wait to meet his son Harrison and teach him the ropes of football.

Rivers Keyes

Madison, MS We met in 2010. We were meant to be in each others lives and I can't imagine life without Rivers. During a time when I didn't believe in myself, she was a teenager dealing with grief and we were connected; it was just meant to be. Our relationship is like no other. Rivers pushes me to be a best friend! Rivers is consistent and loyal. Our age difference and thousands of miles separate us, but we have an unbreakable bond. When we are together you better watch out, we go 90 to 100. We are always laughing and our time wouldn't be normal without something shocking happening to us, where we learn & grow in the situation. She is my gorgeous Barbie, who is beautiful and kind on the inside!

Iowa City, IA Met in 1988. He is my older brother, I have known him my whole life. He made me an Uncle! Tyler has been a great example of a loving relationship & for what I was looking for in my person. He is a family man, married for 10 years and loves his family.

Seattle, WA We met in 2018. Amy is my Warrior Queen, Seattle Bestie who I met in an elevator. This PNW beauty supports me in being my full, authentic self and natural woman. This wedding is happening because of my motivation - Amy. I will never forget the day we began to manifest this fairytale and I was lucky to have Amy capture my "bumble bee" moment. She brightens my day running into her in the UW Athletic Village or late nights out at 13 Coins in Seattle. We all know I can't carry a note, but WOOT is my girl when it comes to karaoke, LOVE SHACK! Disney or the Spice Girls, we definitely changed the mood at a staff party. On March 19th, 2019 at 1:46PM Amy texted me, I'm so excited for your date! I proceeded to text her, Spencer Gray, if you get time to stalk. I meant investigate.

Washington, DC Met in 2019. Anyone who is a friend of Dani becomes a friend to me, but Alan is one that is consistently reaches out to me without Dani. Cooking burgers or cheering on Alan in a marathon, he always brings a positive attitude and outlook to our hangouts. He is a great listener and enjoys all sports so we get along. I am very appreciative that Dani has Alan in her life, he is a good friend to her or as she would say, "Brother".

Chelsea, AL We met in 2008. I remember looking at Brady's mom her freshman year of Pom Squad camp and telling her, "I've got her, she will be okay!" We were strangers then, as Captain that year Brady was my inspo to be a great leader. My little Sassy Mama, we weren't brought together over dance moves on the sideline or nights out on the town, we became inseparable over our bluntness and choreography. This is the friend that will tell a sister how it is; yet, give me the biggest hug after. I would make Brady drive me around freshman year to get her familiar with Starkville, I loved being a part of her growth while at MSU. Brady No matter what job she had, I always would visit. When I met my Spencer, I text Brady - "I met my Scott".... we got us bearded men.

Here in Seattle, not only were we co-workers at the high school working with special needs students, we coached on the same sideline, enjoyed golfing in the Pacific Northwest, tailgating and attending University of Washington Football games in the Greatest Setting in College Football.

New Orleans, LA We met in 2010. I have my real family from Vicksburg, MS, then I have Sammie. My firecracker friend who is an old cat lady, fashionable feminist, & creative gypsy woman. Samantha supports me on being courageous, yet always keeping it real and giving me a dose of reality. She helps me spend my money whether at Libby Story, Waffle House or when I bribe her to go on random adventures with me. She is the friend I want around when I have babies because she knew what to do when I had a litter of puppies. She only allows me to hug her on a Sunday & CD knows TROUBLE when he sees us together. I swear Grandma Julia loved Samantha more. Recently, Spencer met Samantha, his mouth hurt from laughing so hard. I loved seeing my Sammie & Spenny together on Bourbon Street.

Houston, TX We met in 2013. This friendship evolved from a conversation over entrepreneurship while I was working at Legends Sports Complex. We ended up coaching high school all-star football games together. Dallas, TX We met in 2008. Pom squad was our tribe, although Keri and I weren't on the team together; we connected through BABs. There isn't a memory in Starkville I have without Keri in it. We did everyday life together. K was my morning workout buddy at OCH training facility, couch buddy for Lifetime DanceMoms, but most importantly, friends who pray together, stay together. She gives Carrie Bradshaw a run for her money; this fashionista is independent, yet like Carrie, she is led by her emotions. That's what connected us. Whether she is wearing her hair short, long, wavy or straight Keri remains true to herself. I love Keri's passion! Keri brings me comfort; she has always been an ally and someone Beyoncé wants in her formation - she can dance & sing! Okay K, now let's get in formation!

We were the only two who wanted to keep it going, we bonded over football. Not over college football, he is a pro guy a 49ers; naturally, I keep in touch telling him the athletes to check out.

Meridian, MS We met in early 2000. My forever Princess, since before Alex probably can remember because she was soooo young. She was born a star; her personality and powerful dancing could light up the stage. The Miss America Organization Princess Program was new, Alex motivated me to be a strong mentor in her life early. I loved coordinating outfits for competition week, t-shirts, our arrival attire & parade look. We shared the love of soccer; her hustle and athleticism reminded me of me. I loved supporting Alex throughout her life. It was the best feeling, having her throughout my Miss MS experience and it didn't stop there! I would be with Alex to celebrate homecoming festivities; when she became a MSU Bulldog, my heart burst! Can't imagine taking the stage one last time without her.

"One shoe can change your life." - Cinderella; I am so glad our lives were forever changed from the Cinderella Scholarship Program, when we were both crowned as apart of the 2002 - 2003 International Cinderella royalty. Meg Meg has the sweetest soul and a heart of gold, she is kind and beautiful inside and out. I am so grateful for being able to spend the most magical year with the coolest International Miss ever! We traveled the country together, we laughed and cried, but as the Miss & Teen the sisterhood was real. I loved sending cards for her birthday or evening gowns when she was competing in Florida USA. In our adult life, we meet up if I am ever in FL for business or catch up over zoom happy hour. I know her Grammi would be so proud of our friendship today!

Seattle, WA We met in 2018. Often I say something was "meant to be" well meeting this Midwest beauty was just that. I remember working with her then boyfriend Sheldon, he would tell me how he could not wait for me to meet Kaitlyn because we had so much in common. Not only was she a dancer @KSTATE, she is caring, smart, funny & kind, yes it might be KState but we would have been teammates for sure. She is now the future Mrs. Adams and not only did we hit it off, we get to experience the wedding journey together. Tons of my friends have experienced this and to do it with Kay, she makes my bee hive here in Seattle. Next to the word thoughtful, is Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn took a leap of faith moving to Seattle and marrying her Bumble Match. We have so much in common, its a meant to bee friendship!

Seattle, WA Met in 2018. Sheldon dresses out for both teams, Dani's go to for words of wisdom and Spencer's Big 12 Friend, Sheldon is a Kansas Jayhawk. Sheldon definitely wins the best dressed for the wedding party. He has always made me look good on the grill, apparently before meeting Sheldon he cooked my southern lady, let's just say not the best BBQ. Over the last two years we have grown a real friendship over being able to have real conversations and learning from one another. He gives us reasons to throw themed parties and is being assigned to bring coffee for the wedding, since Dani nor I drink coffee. We can't wait to celebrate Sheldon and the future Mrs. Adams in 2022!

Madison, MS We met in 2001. Dirt Road Anthem is our anthem! Cortney is my firecracker, my hometown and high school friend. We will forever be connected due in most part to our guardian angel, Ranarlado "Frog" Moore. Cortney and I are a mess together, my phone automatically capitalizes her name when I am text her. We have some of the best memories because many of those include Frog. Over the last year, we have been reconnected through the heartache of losing our dear friend. When together, it's as if we never missed a day, a week, a month or a year. She will pray over me or cry with me. I don't remember a time she left a party before I did, she is the life to our parties in our hometown. She was so excited when I met Spencer, she knew her husband and Spencer would hit it off and they did!

Meridian, MS We met in 2004. My little mixed Magnolia, who is so smart, so beautiful, so talented and oh so kind; she has a voice of an angel. At a very young age, Katelynn quickly became my #1 FAN. She has supported me in everything I do, from Miss Mississippi, Pom Squad at MSU, moving apartments or helping me get my way with CD. Katelynn was the sweet soul our family needed. She reminds me often of how different we are and I couldn't love her more for that, opposites attract, right? I wish I was as wise as her when I 17, I can't wait to see what is instore for her and blessed to be her Aunt.

Whether it was cheering on the bulldogs, partying or standing for social justice or equality; Kimmy is going to do it with POWER and PASSION. I couldn't think of anyone more fitting to get along with the guys or my lady crew, with helping out with State! I am so proud of Kimmy and her new job at JMU, as Assistant Head Coach of Spirit. Friends can make the best references, right?!

Officially the longest relationship besides my family and longest post since they added more characters. This novel can't show my appreciation enough to have her, someone who looked like me and older. Angela is a smart, kind, beautiful, creative, stylish black woman who has always been a role model in my life; whether near or far. She was a phone call away when I wanted to visit Tuscaloosa & always would check-in or treat me to lunch when she was working in Starkville working that territory. I drove a 4 Runner like Angela, I went to Mississippi State and thanks to her referral, a main reason of how I landed at State. Was it dancing, gymnastics or basketball that brought us together but I loved spending time with Angela and her late mother, Mrs. Catherine; one of the sweetest and kindest souls to have in my life at a young age. Angela and I were blessed to have moms to wait in front of Hallmark for the TY Beanie Babies or take us to John Hancock Gymnastics Tours. Our fathers are very similar too! Both fine, great and respected black men continuously making an impact on our hometown and community. Another funny thing we have in common she worked in sports and at the time I was starting my career in sports; so once again, I had Angela to provide me with some great advice. She is continuously making moves and being a boss! Continue to be you, sis! I am so glad I can include you in this special way, I've always looked up to you.
