Savannah/ Hilton Head is the closest airport, but often more expensive. It is approximately $20 for Uber/taxi to the Savannah Historic District. Jacksonville is a 2 hour drive to Savannah. If you're looking to explore the surrounding areas, Atlanta airport is about 4 hours away from Savannah. You could also fly into Charleston, SC, which is about a 2 hour drive.
