We met each other when we started pharmacy school at Ohio Northern University. Timing is everything, and during our fifth year at school, we officially started dating. After graduating, we endured a year of very long distance until Zach moved to Arizona in July 2018. We recently built our first house & moved in at the beginning of December. The real boss of the house is our bernedoodle, Bailey, who we are obsessed with.

Zach’s family flew in from Ohio to visit. The first morning they were here, Zach said his sister, Heather, wanted to go on a sunrise hike and that we should take her to Deem Hills. This was the first hike I took Zach on when he came to Arizona for the first time three years prior. The three of us started the hike and halfway through, he got down on one knee and proposed. Heather was the best videographer/photographer to capture the moments throughout our hike. When we got back to the trailhead, both of our families were waiting with balloons - even Bailey had a balloon! I had no clue they were waiting for us, which was such a great surprise, but then I heard my sister, Jamie, screaming and jumping up and down. I just dropped to the ground and started crying (again) because I was shocked she was there! Then my Aunt Patti popped out, too! Such a wonderful day full of surprises and being surrounded by our families.
