Yes, Danielle did make the first move, but let’s talk about how that came to be. Danielle is an Arizona native, and Tray is from Minnesota, having moved around the East Coast a couple of times before settling in Arizona. Shortly after moving to Scottsdale, Tray started working as a personal trainer at a new F45 workout studio in Laveen. Danielle had recently become a member at this location, and that’s where the story begins… One morning, Danielle attended a class that Tray was teaching. Tray couldn’t help but notice her hairstyle as she walked into the gym. She had space buns in, and Tray—being Tray—made a slick comment: “Who are you supposed to be, Miley Cyrus?” Danielle quickly shot him a look of annoyance, which Tray wasn’t expecting. Keep in mind, this was their first interaction. A couple of weeks went by, and Tray and Danielle didn’t have any other interactions, except for the occasional “Hi” or “Bye” as they entered or left the gym. One Saturday morning, after the last class of the day, a group of F45 members and trainers were hanging out. Tray, known for his jokes, was standing and chatting with a group of people. Danielle, off to the side, was stretching after class. She was eavesdropping, as usual, when Tray casually mentioned how he wanted to go on a "baecation" with a girl. He said this in a joking, fun way, with a hint of arrogance. Someone from a distance then asked, “Do you want to go to Italy with me?” At this point, Tray was looking down at his phone but noticed the room had gone quiet. When he looked up, he saw everyone staring at him. However, the only person he could see clearly was Danielle. Shocked, he asked, “Are you talking to me?” Danielle replied with a little laugh, “Yes, I am.” From there, Tray’s attention was fully on Danielle, and they ended up having their first real conversation, just getting to know each other. From that moment on, both Danielle and Tray knew this relationship would be something special.

Tray and Danielle met four years ago and had been dating for three years at the time of the proposal. The proposal took place at The Four Seasons Resort in North Scottsdale, where Danielle and Tray were supposed to be attending Tray’s “employee party”—or so Danielle was led to believe. Tray rallied friends, family, and even co-workers into the story that there was an employee party to attend that Friday evening. He told Danielle she would be meeting him there since he would be coming from work. When Danielle arrived for the “party,” Tray greeted her at the entrance and led her to what she thought was the venue. It didn’t take long for Danielle to realize that what she had been told was far from the truth. It was not a party at all, but instead a private setup where Tray would get down on one knee. The proposal was beautiful, sweet, and intimate. Afterwards, Danielle and Tray’s immediate families joined them for a wonderful dinner to celebrate. The rest of the weekend was spent at the resort, relaxing and enjoying the start of their engaged era!
