We met roughly 6 1/2 years ago (through social media, Facebook- I mean what can I say, it's the 21st century). For those who don't already know, Tim picked me up for our first date in his beat up little truck on 56th street. He was listening to loud Latino music with old Budweiser cans rolling around on the floor of his truck. Needless to say I was hesitant to get into a truck with a stranger, but he was handsome and had a cute laugh. Our first date was at OC Wasabi (a small local sushi joint). We sat at rhe bar, sharing hot sake and a couple beers. Afterwards we walked the beach, talked about life and found common interest in one another. On the beach is where we shared our first kiss (which was terrible by the way) but we knew we shared something special. We casually dated; however, timing was not right for us as we lived hours away from one another. We went our separate ways and reconnected in late 2015. Since then we have been inseparable and currently share our home with our two dogs :).

We were in Rincon, Puerto Rico for a winter getaway. We decided on sushi for dinner that night at a place called "Pool Bar Sushi." Tim thought that would be the perfect time to purpose. So while I was getting ready for dinner, he ran out to a Mini Market around the corner and bought a 14$ rose gold plated ring. At dinner we had some sake and beer (sound familiar?), enjoyed some really good sushi and decided to walk the beach across the street afterwards. We barely made it on the beach before Tim got down on one knee and popped the magic question. Honestly, I said "you're joking" at least 3 times before I said "YES!!" Despite the ring being a simple temporary ring, I wouldn't trade it in for the world. The moment was perfect being just us two and I couldn't have been more surprised. We are so excited to share this new chapter in our lives with you!
