Dubbed the "Disneyland of Dairy Stores" by the New York Times, because of its costumed characters, scheduled entertainment, petting zoo and animatronics throughout the stores

Waveny Park Conservancy

677 South Avenue, New Canaan, CT 06840

Located a ten minute drive from downtown, the park's centerpiece is "the castle" built in 1912 and surrounded by 300 acres of fields, ponds and trails. The architect for the structure was William Tubby. Landscape design for the original residence was by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr. Admission is free and there is ample parking.

The Glass House

The Glass House, built by architect Philip Johnson, is a National Trust Historic Site located in New Canaan, Connecticut. The pastoral 49-acre landscape features a permanent collection of 20th-century painting and sculpture, along with temporary exhibitions. Tours of the site are available in May through November and advance reservations are highly recommended.
