Travel Note
If you’re flying in, the closest airport is Tijuana International Airport (about 1 hour away). If flying into Tijuana, we recommend renting a car for the easiest experience. Taxis are also available, though it’s about a 1-hour drive. You can also fly into San Diego International Airport (approximately 2–2.5 hours away, depending on border traffic). The Cross Border Xpress (CBX) is a convenient option. Driving is approximately 4–5 hours from Los Angeles and 1.5–2 hours from San Diego. Please note that returning to the U.S. can take significantly longer than the drive itself. Border crossings, particularly on Sundays, can take up to 3 hours or more, so we strongly recommend building that additional time into your travel plans. To avoid the heaviest return traffic and make for a more relaxed departure, we recommend staying through Monday morning if your schedule allows. We’ll share updated border crossing tips and recommended routes on the website closer to the event.

Flight
If you’re flying, you’ll likely fly into Tijuana International Airport, which is about an hour away. You can also fly into San Diego International Airport, which is about a 2-hour drive depending on the border. When heading back into the U.S., we recommend accounting for up to 2 extra hours to cross the border.
Rental Car
Renting a car from Tijuana International Airport is the easiest way to get around Valle de Guadalupe and gives you the most flexibility throughout the weekend. Rental options at the airport include Hertz, Enterprise, Avis, Budget, and MEX Rent A Car, all conveniently located at arrivals. One important note: Mexico requires local liability insurance by law, so you’ll want to add Mexican insurance to your rental (U.S. coverage typically does not apply). It’s generally very affordable and can be added directly through the rental company. If you prefer not to drive, taxis and private drivers are available from the airport to Valle de Guadalupe. The drive is about one hour, with fares typically ranging from $50–$80 USD depending on the service and timing.
