We're getting married!

Sam and I met at Boston Conservatory on the train home through mutual friend George in 2011. The next 2 years flew by until reconnecting at a friend's wedding - bad timing as this was after graduation! Determined to keep a good thing going, we managed kept in touch almost every day through multiple time zones for the next 3 months. We grew so close those next few months, that even before we had our first date we thought, "this could really be something."

After four years of dating, we finally both came to the same city, New York. On labor day weekend, I went with my sister to visit my parent's home in Charlottesville, Virginia. It was my mom's birthday weekend and we were discussing where we were going to dinner that evening. Suddenly the doorbell rings and my mom asks me to see who it is. I opened the door and there was Sam down on one knee in a suit. My sister runs from around the house and starts taking pictures. I shouted "HOW DID YOU GET HERE?!" a few times and then shouted "YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you!
