Rylan and I have gone to school together since kindergarten. We never really talked to each other until high school. Although, Rylan says that I was mean to him in middle school. Sophomore year of high school rolls around and my phone goes crazy from Instagram notifications. Those notifications being from Rylan liking every single picture I had posted on my account. Shortly after, he messages me and asks me for my Snapchat, so I gave it to him and that’s where it all began. We had talked pretty much all of November and December, when on the 28th of December in 2014 Rylan took me on our first date to Cookout and to The Speedway in Lights. Before going we were meeting up with some friends at the Burger King in our local town which is where Rylan asked me to be his girlfriend. I of course, said yes! Fast forward almost 6 years later on July 4th of 2020, Rylan told me that we were going to be going to Whitetop with some of our friends that evening at sunset to watch the fireworks. A few hours later we got to whitetop right at sunset and it was BEAUTIFUL!! We start walking down a hill a little ways and towards a rocky area where there weren’t a lot of people. And let me tell you it was a hike. We get over there and he has me walk out on the rock with him, I’m hesitant because we’re basically standing on a cliff. He comes back and grabs my hand and walks me out there with him. He hugs me, we stand there looking at the sunset and he tells me that he has something to ask me and I replied with “what?” he then proceeded to get down on one knee and ask me to marry him and I obviously said YES!!! We are so excited to see what our future holds as Mr and Mrs.
