FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

California Coastal Formal - We invite guests to dress in elevated, elegant attire suited for a seaside setting. Suits and ties for gentlemen are encouraged, while floor-length or elevated dresses are welcome for ladies. Colorful and festive looks are invited - think polished, celebratory, and coastal refined. Parts of the celebration will be outdoors, so we recommend avoiding stilettos and opting for block heels or wedges.

Question

How do I RSVP? Who is invited?

Answer

Please RSVP directly through this website by the date listed on your invitation. Due to venue capacity, we can only accommodate guests listed on the invitation. Thank you for understanding. Additionally, while we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Early October in Coronado is typically sunny with mild temperatures. Evenings can be cool near the ocean, so we recommend bringing a light jacket.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying at The Shore House at Hotel del Coronado (one of several beautiful “neighborhoods” on the property), where the wedding will take place, for the most convenient and immersive experience. This is where the bride and groom will be staying and offers its own private pool and bar separate from the rest of the hotel. Coronado offers a variety of nearby hotels and vacation rentals, many within walking distance or a short drive. Our goal is to create a true destination-style celebration, with all wedding events taking place at or within walking distance of Hotel del Coronado, so little to no additional transportation will be needed throughout the weekend. For guests who plan to drive, on-site parking at the hotel is available and typically ranges from approximately $50–$100 per day.

Question

What is there to do around Coronado?

Answer

Coronado is a really fun and easy place to spend a weekend. The beach is right there (and it’s one of the best in San Diego), and Orange Avenue has a bunch of great spots to grab coffee, walk around, or do a little shopping. You can rent bikes, hang by the water, or check out the restaurants and bars around the Hotel Del. And if you feel like exploring more, downtown San Diego is just a quick drive or ferry ride away. Overall, it’s a relaxed beach town with plenty to do — or a perfect place to do nothing at all.
