Spitz has several locations in Salt Lake City, so there will likely be one close by if you are out and about! This fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant also has craft beer and cocktails, and tons of veg friendly options. We recommend the Street Cart fries.
Antelope Island is home to free-ranging bison, mule deer, bighorn sheep, pronghorn (antelope), and many other desert animals. Hike, mountain bike or horseback ride the park’s backcountry trails for spectacular views of lake and wildlife!
This is a moderate 2 mile 'out and back hike' that ends with rock "chairs" overlooking the valley. The trailhead is close to our venue and the Marriott where we have our room block. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/utah/the-living-room-lookout-trail
The Bonneville Shoreline Trail follows what was the shoreline of ancient Lake Bonneville. There are tons of places to hop on and off the trail, and you can go as far as you like while overlooking the valley. There is a spot to get on the trail very close to our venue and the Marriott where we have our block. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/utah/bonneville-shoreline-trail-loophttps://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/utah/bonneville-shoreline-trail-university-of-utah-to-emigration-canyon-road
Ensign Peak is a small mountain peak at the north end of the Salt Lake Valley, above the State Capitol building with amazing city views. This is a short .8 mile hike, but it is steep! Recommended for a beautiful sunset over the valley.
If you want to get some ski turns in while you're in the mountains it's probably not too late depending on our snowpack to have an awesome day up at Snowbird. Even if you're not a skier, you can take a beautiful drive up Little Cottonwood Canyon and hike around.
