During the Winter quarter of 2015, two nineteen-year-old students found themselves in the same "Intro to Government" class at Cal Poly Pomona, tucked away on the second floor of the illustrious Building 9. Nolan noticed Danielle right away, while Danielle remained focused on each day's lecture—until five weeks into the term when Nolan finally approached her after class and introduced himself. Over the next year, their interactions were sporadic and far between—occasional texts, the classic “What days are you on campus this quarter?” check-in, and a few brief encounters between classes. Until one April evening in 2016, after over a year of acquaintanceship (and Nolan taking his sweet time), he finally asked her on a date. Dinner at Eureka Burger in Claremont, followed by a late-night visit to The Donut Man and several nervously selected songs on the car stereo aux; the rest, as they say, was history... Over the next nine years, the two would fall in love, grow together as true best friends and become family to each other's closest loved ones. They have built a beautiful home together—adopted a cat named Smokey (who thinks he's royalty) and a dog named Packer (who thinks he’s everyone's best friend), and a shared love of life, great food, music, travel and loving company. Now, they’re officially tying the knot and throwing a party to celebrate! We can't wait to see you.
