As much as we hate contributing to "car culture" (Neil's words), that's kind of the only way to get to Walker Creek Ranch. Walker Creek Ranch is a little over an hour from the Oakland Airport, and an hour and a half from SFO. If you rent a car, you won't regret it - there are some lovely day-trips from Walker Creek if you like cheese, hiking, and oysters.
We've created a spreadsheet so you can share rides from the airport! Please visit the following link to fill out your arrival information: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bMQa4mM9ufDJeul7AhZqrotBp3K0tMWSjjsek3W62qE/edit#gid=0
Onsite accommodations include camping (BYOtent or van), dorm-style, semi-private, and private lodge bedrooms. All accommodations are twin beds with shared bathrooms. Rates range from $29-140 per person. Please book lodging at the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc7EwRG46spRFcCBpFN2yIrrMN4vymJKYv8XjkOv7idg5QZng/viewform
Scott (Danielle's Dad) calls it "just like Boy Scout summer camp", and Danielle says, "uh, yeah. I literally went to summer camp there." So it's sort of like summer camp... if there was beer... and marriage... and way better food. There are bathrooms, roofs, showers, coffee, and those sorts of comforts. It's rustic, and stunning. 20 miles of on-site hiking, biking, and wildflower foraging. There's little-to-no cell service, which we love, because everyone we need to talk to will be there.
Danielle's dad is wearing cowboy boots and Neil's dad is wearing a kilt, so it is very up to interpretation. The wedding ceremony will be slightly more formal than the rest of the weekend, but our main hope is for you to be comfortable!
