Yes! In Persian tradition, every wedding includes a song called "Yar Mobarak Baad" which includes the lyrics "Throw Flowers on the Bride & Groom" It's customary for the bride and groom to be in the middle of a circle of all the guests, everyone will be given flower petals, and during the chorus the guests throw the petals up in the air on the bride and groom.
