We know there are many unanswered questions regarding COVID-19. First and foremost, we want our wedding to be a fun celebration without added stress. We understand the inherent risk of traveling and socializing today. We will be offering a virtual option for the ceremony for those uncomfortable celebrating in person. We encourage guests to participate in festivities at their own comfort level. While we would absolutely love to have you all with us on our very special day, we completely understand and support your decision.
*The entire event is outdoors. *Masks are encouraged during close contact. Disposable, individually-wrapped masks will be available at all times. *Hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes will be readily available throughout the venue. *The catering service offers a complete guide to their precautions in serving guests and we can email this to anyone interested in reading about their guidelines. *Dinner will be served family style, to each table. *The ceremony will feature individualized group seating by party in a socially distanced fashion on the front lawn of the B&B. *Table seating and arrangements will be determined and arranged once RSVP count is finalized. We will distance all tables as much as possible and utilize either 4 or 8 per table. *A live stream of the ceremony will be offered for anyone who prefers to view from home. *We will keep the RSVP total updated as often as possible on the website. *Local public (free) and private ($) COVID testing centers available.
Though we would love to invite all of the children and families in our lives, our venue has a maximum guest allowance. As many of you will be traveling, we encourage you to take advantage of the beautiful weather, outdoor activities and Florida hospitality. We are offering childcare during the wedding for guest traveling from out of town. Based on the number of RSVPs we get with interest in this option, we will likely host this in either hotel. We assure you that the sitters will be professionals, vetted by the two of us, as well as our local parents/families. More info to come.
The wedding will be cocktail attire. This means that we do not expect tuxedos or jeans, but mostly anything in between will suffice!
Florida can be quite unpredictable at this time of year. We suggest planning for a warm afternoon and evening, but also bringing a light jacket or shall in case there is a breeze during the ceremony.
About one and a half miles. It's a lovely walk over a flat bridge, but ladies will definitely need flats for that! Transportation shuttles will be provided before the ceremony and after the reception. More information will be available at the hotels.
