We're Getting Married

When Matt walked through the doors of Saint Gabriel school in 5th grade, Dani immediately knew she had a crush. Matt was just touring the school that day so she would have to wait a whole year before she would have the opportunity to become his friend. Dani thought it would be difficult to get Matt's attention, however they started finding themselves in the same friend group and school activities (Dani only played soccer so she could be around Matt more). Even though they were in the same friend group, it would take another 8 years before Matt and Dani would eventually be more than friends. Fast forward to 2015, Matt and Dani's senior year at Seton La-Salle High School, Dani was writing an article for the school newspaper about the new head coach for the football team. She decided to interview some of the senior football players about the new coach, strategically picking Matt as one of the main players to interview. Soon after, Dani and Matt started dating and they finished their senior year as Prom King and Queen. After high school, Dani and Matt had to quickly learn how to navigate their long distance relationship while being in college. What seemed like a few road blocks throughout college ended up being blessings in disguise and Dani and Matt have been inseparable since. Matt and Dani planned a trip to Savannah, GA for July 2021 before they headed on his family vacation in Hilton Head, SC. Dani thought it was just another trip to a place they have never been, however Matt had a surprise planned. On Friday night after dinner, Matt suggested going to Forsyth Park to see the famous fountain lit up at night. Once they arrived at the park, they started walking around the fountain and that's when Matt pulled Dani to a stop and proposed! What started out as an innocent crush in middle school is now a forever love story.
