It was Monday, August 1st 2022, the first day of internship at the Sierra Nevada VA. Unbeknownst to us, that day would be the beginning of the rest of our lives together. Danielle moved to Reno from Indianapolis and Luke from Berkeley. What started as a friendship full of banter and casual Euchre eventually turned into love. Three cities, six jobs, one dog, one cat, and one proposal later, we are so excited to celebrate our marriage with our dearest friends and family only 60 miles from where we first met on that fateful day four years ago!

The day after Thanksgiving was packed full of family football games, sloppy joes, and a cold Chicago breeze at Danielle’s grandparent’s house. Little to Danielle’s knowledge, Luke was hatching a plan. After convincing Danielle to take a walk for some scenic Autumn photos (with a little help from a few friends), Luke got down on one knee and mustered the courage to propose to Danielle. She said yes! After nearly passing out from the excitement, we were greeted with cheers and celebration from Danielle’s extended family.
