Wedding Party

Helen Watson

Maid of Honor

A beloved cousin; Danielle and Helen grew up like they were sisters. Danielle always thought that Helen embodied all that is cool (Lorne agrees) and was her constant shadow and imitator throughout the years.

Lila Simone Behrman

Best Woman

Lorne first met Lila, his daughter and bestie, when she was born. Since then, they've seen each other through thick and thin--Lila's done a great job raising Lorne! She's currently in seventh grade and loves crocheting, jewelry-making, and animals (especially her pet chinchilla, Daisy).

Katherine Smalkin

Bridesmaid

Kate and Danielle met in 1991 as first graders learning to ice skate, and over the next decade spent each competitive season going head to head for first and second place (Danielle remembers Kate always winning; Kate remembers the opposite). In high school and beyond, they got into plenty of trouble together (and occasionally still do) and stayed as close as two friends can be.

Laura Walston

Bridesmaid

Laura took Danielle under her wing when Danielle transferred to Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. They played on the championship varsity lacrosse team together, worked as hostesses at Bill Bateman's Bistro, and spent countless hours hatching ill-advised schemes as teens.

Dorian Batt

Bridesmaid

Dorian is Danielle's work wife: they completed anesthesia residency together at Cornell and work together as obstetric anesthesiologists. Their monthly dinners have become more extravagant as their level of work stress rose. Dorian embodies the best qualities a doc should have: empathy, assertiveness, and a dizzying attention to detail. She hosted a wonderful bachelorette weekend at her house that friends will be talking about for years to come!

Nathan Liu

Bridesman

Nathan and Danielle met in 2018 at Cornell, where they were both practicing obstetric anesthesiology. Prior to meeting, they each constantly heard from colleagues that they needed to become friends. The colleagues were right. They developed an instant friendship that expanded into epic monthly dinners with Dorian and weathered the pandemic together. Nathan moved to Florida and is living his best life, but is invoked on an almost daily basis at his old workplace.

Caroline Whitney

Bridesmaid

Cari and Danielle met as kindergarteners in Baltimore at Friends School. They were close friends through the tumultuous middle school years, performing in musicals together that they took VERY seriously. During high school, they worked at an old time ice cream shoppe together with a boss who was...rather unhinged. They reconnected several years after college when they both found themselves living in nyc. Cari, Danielle, Emily (another bridesmaid) and wedding guest Gant (all former Friends students) have a group text that regularly clocks over a hundred messages per day.

Emily Lamasa

Bridesmaid

Emily and Danielle met at Friends School when their ages were in the single digits. Middle school beach trips to Fenwick Island yielded memories of boardwalk ice cream runs, brick oven pizza nights, disposable camera pics and uncontrollable laughing that was likely quite annoying to Emily's Dad. Although they went to different high schools, Emily and Danielle reconnected as adults after college, law (Emily) and med (Danielle) school, children (Emily), and careers. Emily is a part of the epically active group text with Gant and Cari.

Eli Wolf

Groomsman

Lorne met Eli many years ago when they worked together. He admired Eli's career and resume, and knew about him before they were friends, Since then, the two have become like family. Eli is someone Lorne looks up to, asks for advice, and Eli has always been there for Lorne as a sage and sensitive spirit in his life. Lorne has spent many holidays with Eli and his family--being welcomed into his family is something Lorne cherishes. He also enjoys Eli's vibrant reimagining of the Passover chestnut "Chad Gadya."

Paige "Raige" Campbell

Groomswoman

Paige is like a sister to Lorne--one of his nearest and dearest friends. The two met through music, but have spurred each other on in life, career, and through heartbreak and love. She's an incredible singer, songwriter, and has badass style. These two have years and years of wonderful memories, and Paige is probably the only person Lorne can talk to on the phone for longer than an hour.

Steven Dios

Groomsman

Lorne first met Steven when he was an intern where Lorne worked. The two would talk about Johnny Thunders and punk rock in the mornings. Later, they had something of turf war based on the placement of their band stickers. Lorne ignored that he instigated this drama when he asked Steven to be in on one of his bands. Though, he did later awkwardly apologize in the basement of a recording studio. Since then, the two have played many, many shows together, toured a ton, and even roomed together. Steven hasn't killed Lorne yet, despite all of this. The two have a deep connection personally and musically--they've been through a lot--but still have a wonderful and meaningful friendship.

Alec Morton

Groomsman

Alec is one of Lorne's closest friends, and the person seeks advice from more than anyone. He's been there for Lorne through many ups and downs. Before they became friendly, Lorne "knew of" Alec and was a fan of the many, many bands and musicians Alec performed with and his badass fashion sense. The two became closer when their bands toured together, and they've been very close over the past few years. Alec has been a life-changing friendship for Lorne. And, like Lorne, Alec doesn't ever wear shorts.

Micah Lachtman

Groomsman

Lorne first met Micah when he was 7 at Shalom Haverim Jewish Camp, and the two bonded on being little casanovas with the girl campers. They reunited when they were 15 at yet another Jewish social experience, and they've been close friends ever since. Micah has stood by Lorne through a lot, and always been a friend he can call no matter what. Micah is also very close with Lorne's parents and his like a brother to him. The two share a "unique" sense of humor, and have many one-liner inside jokes that probably no one should hear the backstory behind.

Dan Ratner

Groomsman

Lorne has called Dan many times over the years and asked, "will I get through this?" Dan has always picked up, and reassured him. The two are as tight as brothers, and Lorne laughs in a high-pitched obnoxious way when they FaceTime--the pair share a telepathic sense of humor. Dan and Lorne share a love of 1980s music, sincerity, and irreverent social commentary. Lorne has run many tough decisions by Dan first. In fact, he sort of had Dan vet Danielle in an hour phone convo. The two live life together: texting, sending songs, and cheering each other along in life pursuits.

Sam Hariss

Groomsman

Sam and Lorne met in the wilds of the East Village rock n' roll scene, and have many blurry memories as bandmates and best of friends. They've toured and recorded together, and also hated each other many, many times for short stints of time, ranging from weeks up to 10 months. That said, they share a deep brotherly connection, an offensive sense of humor, and many similar neuroses.
