Scraped Knees and Heart Beats

### Our Story: Danielle & Logan Like many modern couples, Danielle and Logan's love story began on a dating website. But there’s a fun twist—Danielle didn’t pick Logan herself! In fact, her profile was projected on a big TV screen while her friends swiped left and right, choosing potential dates for her. And, as fate would have it, they swiped right on her future husband. Logan will be forever indebted to them for that perfect choice! Their first plan was to attend a hockey game, but before committing to the excitement of that event, they decided to meet in person over drinks at Poquito in Holland. True to form, Danielle was running late. Logan, ever patient, graciously pushed back the reservation—not once, but twice. But once they finally met, the connection was instant. After some appetizers and margaritas, neither wanted the date to end. So, they decided to hit another bar. As they walked up the brick path, something memorable happened. Danielle tripped and fell. Embarrassed but laughing, she got up and brushed it off, only to fall again just a few steps later. With a face as red as could be, she assured Logan she wasn’t drunk, leading to the running joke that Danielle “fell” for him not once, but twice on their first date. (Needless to say, those shoes didn’t make it through the night!) Once at the next bar, Danielle slipped away to check her scraped knees, only to return and find Logan chatting with a stranger. The gentleman asked if Danielle was his wife, to which Logan nervously replied, “No.” The man followed up with, “Are you two dating?” Logan’s response? “Yes, well no, well... kind of?” It quickly became clear it was their first date. Cue embarrassing moment number two. Despite that, the night continued, and Logan decided to take Danielle to Whit’s Frozen Custard, where he pulled out a scoop of her favorite ice cream flavor that he had secretly stashed in the freezer before the date. Danielle was convinced Logan knew exactly what he was doing, and it was definitely working. As they chatted, Logan complimented Danielle’s eyes, saying how beautiful they were. With a laugh, she pointed out that they actually had the same exact eye color! She started to walk away playfully, but Logan gently grabbed her by the belt loop and stole their first kiss. As if by magic, his watch immediately alerted him that his heart rate had skyrocketed. That’s when Logan knew—this girl was special. Later that night, Logan texted his best friend, telling him, “I’m going to marry that girl.” One of the most beautiful things about Danielle and Logan’s relationship was the complete absence of games. From that first date, there was never any doubt about how much they cared for each other. A year later, Logan proposed, bringing Danielle back to where it all began—outside Poquito in front of their families. What Danielle didn’t know was that Logan had planned a surprise celebration at his parents’ house, where their closest friends and family were waiting to toast their engagement. And now, two and a half years later, they’ll be celebrating their wedding, surrounded by the people who have been cheering them on from the very beginning.
