It was 2009. Justin & Danielle had just started middle school but obviously weren't interested in each other (they were 12 years old, so who could blame them). Fast forward 4 years, and the two became friends over Justin hopelessly trying to teach Danielle how to play the piano in piano class. That next year, Justin asked Danielle to dance at a New Year's Eve party, and the rest is history.

Justin was home for Christmas break, and they were going to his family's Christmas party that night. After he picked her up, they stopped by their favorite grilled cheese place downtown (an important fact because they love food) and went to Butler Park, which overlooks the city. That's when he got a call from his mom saying that he had to stop by his grandma's house to pick up a gift she accidentally left. His grandma's house is in Onion Creek, which is the neighborhood where Justin grew up and where he took Danielle on their first date back in high school. He stopped by the house and went inside to pick up the gift, and Danielle didn't even think to question why it took him 15 minutes to grab a gift or even how he got inside the house (it was just a happy day, and she didn't care). Justin suggested they stop by the park on their way out, which is a place he and Danielle go all of the time because of how much they love it. He dropped (threw) his keys when walking into the park, and Danielle was about to tell him about it when she turned around and he was down on one knee. She forgot all of the words he said. She couldn't even remember if she said yes (apparently she did). When they drove up to his family's house, there were fireworks, a pretty sunset, and both of their families there to celebrate with them.
