Only God could have had a hand and helping us find each other in the world, and we thank Him everyday. It was Thanksgiving week of 2023; Danielle was spending the holiday at her sister's home in St Augustine Florida with the rest of her family up from Naples for the holiday. She decided to open up the dating apps, and take a gander. Jorge was one of her first matches since he worked in the hotel hospitality business in St Augustine but lived in Jacksonville. There was an instant connection for both of them with each other. The weekend following Thanksgiving, Danielle was off one her last work trip for the year, it was to South Africa. But the distance did not stop Jorge and Danielle from connecting everyday while she was away on her two week trip. They spent each day checking in with each other when they could (which is hard to do with a 7-hour time difference, his packed work and her travel itinerary). They called, video chatted and connected any chance they could with each other over those two weeks. The connection felt easy and their spark for each other was instant! Danielle even remarked to her fellow colleagues on that trip that this connection felt different with Jorge! As soon as she arrived home which was a Saturday night - then next evening, Jorge came over to pick her up and took her out for their first proper date, which was in Atlantic Beach at now one of their favorite local restaurant's, AB Kitchen. From that moment on, the rest has been a beautiful history of love, learning from each other and building their lives together. We became official beginning of January 2024 as boyfriend and girlfriend, and Jorge proposed on May 24 2025 on the beach at sunset. It was one of the most magical evenings of their lives seeing how they got to celebrate that night with their families and best friends.
