Although they both grew up in the same hometown area, John William and Danielle didn’t officially meet until years later when they were both living in Pittsburgh. As it turns out, they had mutual friends from back home who were determined to play matchmaker. After a little convincing (and despite Danielle’s stubborn hesitation), she finally agreed to go on a date. The night they first met, they were both so nervous that it felt like they only managed to exchange a few sentences. Danielle’s icebreaker of choice? Talking about her dog, Murphy… of course. A few weeks later, they reconnected and went on their first “official date” at a Pirates game. What started as an evening at the ballpark turned into two brewery stops afterward… and a nine hour date. Somewhere between the seventh inning stretch and the last brewery, Danielle told her friends that she was going to marry John William. And … here we are. John William proposed in Bar Harbor, Maine, complete with a secret photographer and a celebratory boat ride along the coast. It was perfect, and somehow he managed to suprise Danielle with a few tricks up his sleeve. These past few years have been some of the best of their lives. Danielle and Murphy gained a new roommate, and their house became a home. Before long they added Maple to the mix, and their lives became a little louder, a little furrier, and a lot more loving. They can’t wait to see where the rest of our journey takes them!
