Father of the Groom
Hello! My name is Darin. I'm Garrison's dad. I'll also be officiating for the wedding ceremony. Garrison is my beloved, third son, extraordinary in his own way. Garrison is zany, quirky, creative, kind, and accepting of others. Garrison is also curious and adventurous. One example of this would be when he was a preschool-aged kid waiting for his brothers at their elementary school; he pulled the fire alarm and triggered an unplanned, end-of-day fire drill for the whole school. In 2024, Garrison's curiosity and sense of adventure took him to Wisconsin. The snow fell as we lugged his possessions out of Michigan into Wisconsin. The mercury plummeted to -11 F, the coldest weekend of the winter, as we moved Garrison's furniture into his new apartment through lots of unplowed snow. But it was worth it all, because in Wisconsin, Garrison met Danielle. I am very excited that my son has found such a strong, confident, intelligent young woman with whom Garrison will spend the rest of his life. Danielle, welcome to our family, and thank you for choosing my son.
Father of the Bride
Please call me Steve. I am the father of the bride, and we are here to celebrate the marriage of my only daughter.
Mother of the Groom
I wear many hats in life — wife, professor, mentor, daughter, friend — but the one that defines me most deeply is simply "Mom." Being Garrison’s mom has been a wonderful adventure. Garrison is the kind of person who lights up a room, not just with his quick wit and laughter, but with the kindness and care he shows to everyone around him. He’s creative in ways that surprise and delight me, and his heart is as big as his imagination. Watching him grow into the man he is today has filled me with so much pride I sometimes don’t know how to hold it all! As I celebrate his marriage to Danielle — a woman full of grace, warmth, positivity, and strength — I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Seeing him begin this beautiful new chapter with someone who truly sees and loves him fills my heart with joy. I couldn’t be prouder to be his mom, and I couldn’t be happier to welcome Danielle into our hearts and our family!
Mother of the Bride
Hi. My name is Carol. Danielle is my beautiful daughter! I am so excited for Danielle and Garrison as they start their future together as husband and wife! I cannot wait to celebrate this joyous occasion with friends and family.
Best Man
Hi! I am Grant, Garrison's middle (and funniest and truly most handsome, anyone else is lying) brother. I am honored to be Gee's best man (I guess I'll step up) for him and Danielle's wedding! I cannot believe he is getting married but, disbelief aside, it is an incredible milestone for him. We have had our ups and downs and tussles, but have grown incredible close as brothers and I am incredibly proud of him.
Honor Attendant
Hello, I'm Karli (they/them) and I grew up in Brodhead with Dan. We met all the way back in 1st grade, but became closer friends in Middle School. We have stayed friends from then to now and have had many adventures. Now we get to celebrate this adventure together! We went through years of Girl Scouts together, Kayaked through the Sugar River near our hometown, and occasionally, we would get lost and have some funny mishaps in our lives. One of the most memorable was when we had spiders that fell into our kayaks on one crazy ride!
Groomsman
Hello! I am Wes, Garrison’s oldest (and more handsome) brother. I’ve known Gee his whole life. We’ve done hard things together and have been there for each other through thick and thin. Happy to be celebrating his next big adventure!
Bridesmaid
Hello! My name is Isabel (she/her), and Dani and I met in college. We both started college as nursing majors, but we both separated into different paths, but still shared similar classes as we graduated together in 2022. We have stayed connected and helped each other out as life has gotten rough, but we each know that we have each other's back.
Groomsman
Hello, my name is Brandon and I was born in a small town called Colipa, Veracruz, and raised in West Michigan. Currently, I live with my wife, Dulce, and my two lovely cats. I enjoy riding my bike, participating in outdoor sports, and any dancing or social activities. I am a returning student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information at the University of Michigan. How I met Garrison was at about two years ago at Kooze, where we both worked together. We bonded over our love of Mexican food, proving that food really does bring people together.
Bridesmaid
My name is Grace Parlier (she/her) and I have known Dani since freshmen orientation at Alverno College. We became fast friends and quickly decided to room together when we purchased discounted matching t-shirts outside the school store. We loved going on trips to the local Milwaukee custard stand, Leons, for a sweet treat after long days of classes. We also enjoyed late night TV together and shared punchy humor in preparation for stressful tests.
Groomsman
Top of the morning to ya! My name is Dane, like the county, and Gee is my best friend! I met him through Danielle at work because she needed to give Gee a "boyfriend" and I was happy to make a new friend! Gee has been an absolute solid friend and I love him and Danielle so much! We play D&D together, Overwatch, and other games with our friends Tyler and Crystal. He is a legendary DM and I’m so excited to see where life takes us all!!
Bridesmaid
Hi, I am Maria Mendoza and Danielle and I became close friends back in 6th grade. We just did everything together and spent so much together. We especially bonded over our love of music in our years of band class since I was a baritone sitting in the section right next to her as she played her tuba. She was in my Quinceañera and we always uplifted each other as we went though High School. Even though I now do not see her as often since I am busy in school as a teacher and as a student, I am still honored to have her in my life.
Groomsman
Greetings! My name is Nate. I met Gee at House Rules where we played D&D together. We’ve been friends for two years now and super excited for him to move back to Michigan from the land of Wisconsin. Looking forward to supporting my bro on his big day!
Bridesmaid
Hello! My name is Abby. My pronouns are she/her and I met Dani her freshman year of college on move in day! My floor was full of social people and we instantly clicked and became really close! One thing you should know about me is that I am very unpredictable; I'm either going to say something completely innocent or completely off the carts. Anyway, I am so happy for Dani and couldn't imagine anyone better for her! Let's celebrate!
