It started with a Facebook friend request on November 20th 2022. We had mutual friends from our churches. We messaged each other all day and continued on until we had our first date on November 28th. Franklin took me to a Honduran restaurant to give me a little taste of his culture. We spent 6 hours at the restaurant just talking, laughing, and having the best time! We had such a great time that we did not realize the restaurant staff were waiting on us to finish so they could close the restaurant!

In May 2025, Franklin, myself, and my siblings had planned to surprise my mom for Mother’s Day in Naples, Florida! Little did I know that there were other plans that was also set up for this trip. On May 10th, my parents had made reservations at this beautiful beach front restaurant with the most gorgeous sunset! Before dinner, we all had walked on the beach to take “family photos”. Mind you, there was a beach wedding and a proposal that were happening! Talk about torture! Haha! We all had walked over to a beautiful spot to take some “family photos”. Thinking it was a timer set for the camera was actually a video recording ready to capture one of the best moments of our lives. Franklin turned me around and got on one knee and popped the question!
