Our wedding will take place in Melville, New York, on Long Island, about 45–60 minutes east of New York City by car/train. The area is safe, suburban, and easy to navigate, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and parks nearby.

🚆 Getting to New York City (Public Transportation)

Long Island has a convenient commuter train system called the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road). Closest LIRR Station: • Huntington Station (approx. 15 minutes from Melville by Uber/taxi) How to get to NYC: 1 Go to Huntington Station. 2 Take the LIRR train toward “Penn Station” or “Grand Central” (both are in Manhattan). 3 Travel time: ~50–60 minutes 4 Trains run frequently throughout the day. 5 You can buy tickets using the “MTA TrainTime” app or directly at the station. Helpful Tips: • “Penn Station” drops you near Times Square. • “Grand Central” drops you near 42nd Street & 5th Ave. • Trains have free Wi-Fi; stations do not always.
