We’re getting married!

It was a beautiful Saturday in June. Eric had invited Danielle to the Newport Flower Show followed by the Newport Polo Game that afternoon. Danielle met Eric in Newport and together they attended the Flower Show. It could not have been more awkward and they both thought this would never work. However, for whatever reason they decided to continue on with their date and together attended the Polo Game as originally planned. That afternoon the Newport Polo Team lost the polo game, but they managed to win over each other’s hearts.

Newport Polo was the start of wonderful things for Danielle & Eric, so each year they attended the Newport Polo Charity Gala with friends. This year the Gala was a James Bond themed event “Diamonds are Forever” as Newport would be playing South Africa the next afternoon. As years in the past, the photographer hired for the event would ask for a picture and they would happily agree. Anyone who knows them, knows they love a good photo opportunity. As they stood and took a picture with one another (classic James Bond photo, back to back imaginary hand gun pointed in the air) Danielle realized something else was going on. When she turned back around Eric would be on one knee. She was so excited, speechless, FINALLY! Danielle realized she was so happy and overtaken by emotions she never said anything, and quickly said YES!!! It was official, they were now engaged!
