Question

What time is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony at Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church starts promptly at 3:00PM, so please plan to be seated by 2:45PM. The reception at Battello will start at 6PM with cocktail hour.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Jersey City is our preferred hotel since our shuttles will leave from there. Our hotel block is now closed. There is also the Westin Jersey City Newport and a Courtyard by Marriott Jersey City Newport nearby walking distance.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love ALL of your children, however we have decided to make this an adults-only celebration with the exception of the bridal party. We thought you'd like to take a night off and enjoy the party!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please just let us know ahead of time so accommodations can be made!

Is there transportation provided for guests to the church and Battello?

Answer

Yes, we will be providing transportation to and from the ceremony from the Double Tree. Shuttles leave promptly at 2:00PM and 2:15PM from outside of the hotel lobby and will return to the Double Tree after the ceremony. We are also providing a shuttle from the Double Tree to Battello that will start around 5:45PM for the reception or it is 2 blocks away if you prefer to walk. The shuttle will also take guests back to the Double Tree after reception. You may use the shuttle even if you’re not staying at the Double Tree, you’ll just have to go there for pick up/drop off.

IS THERE PARKING FOR THE CEREMONY OR RECEPTION?

There is limited parking at the church and parking available at Battello with some paid parking lots around the area. You have the option to park at Battello prior to the ceremony (at no charge!) and catch our shuttle from the Double Tree at 2PM!

Do I need cash?

Answer

There will be a traditional Filipino prosperity dance during the reception so that guests may have some one-on-one with the bride and groom. If you are interested in participating, you may want to bring cash for that. Money pinned or taped onto the new married couple's garments represents a wish that good fortune be "rained" upon them. You may also bring cash to tip the bartenders.
