It all started when Danielle was considering a move from Houston to Los Angeles. She asked a mentor of hers (Lisa Carmichael) to help her get connected with other Deloitte consultants in LA. The first person she recommended was a senior consultant by the name of David T. Miller. They exchanged a few professional emails and set up a Skype call. David painted a romantic picture of Los Angeles, consisting of live music venues, great food, and endless entertainment. Little did he know that six months later, they would be enjoying all of these things together... but we’re getting ahead of ourselves. After talking to David on the phone and seeing his handsome photo on Skype, Danielle thought: “He seems really great... he must be taken.” She was right; when they first met in the LA office, David mentioned something about a girlfriend. But a few months later, David sent Danielle a message about the upcoming company holiday party. He told her he was bringing his brother (Steve) as his plus one, and that he hoped to see her there. Danielle wondered, “is he single now??” He was. It was at the Deloitte holiday party on December 9, 2016 when sparks started to fly. David and Danielle were inseparable the whole evening, discussing everything from foreign films, to attending Christian colleges, to, of course, Depeche Mode. It was only a month into dating when they each realized they couldn’t imagine life without each other.
