We first met at Jacksonville State University, where what started as a simple friendship quickly turned into something special. We bonded over our shared love of old-school R&B, long talks, and plenty of laughs — not realizing at the time that we were laying the foundation for something much bigger. Shortly after we started dating, our timing was tested when D began pledging Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Even through that busy season, we stayed close and continued to build a strong foundation rooted in understanding, patience, and support. After college, life took us in different directions — D moved to Michigan to work for Toyota Headquarters, was later promoted, and relocated to Texas. Around that time, Danielle stayed in Alabama before eventually moving to Tennessee. What followed was 3.5 years of long distance, filled with road trips, late-night FaceTimes, lots of flights, and countdowns to the next visit. It wasn't always easy, but we never stopped choosing each other. Now, after 6 years of growth, love, and a few miles in between, we’re finally ready to start this next chapter together and build our new life in Texas — in the same place, for good.
