Where is Strawberry and how do I get there?
Answer
Strawberry, Arizona is a small town located near the Rim, between Payson and Camp Verde. When driving to Strawberry, from Phoenix, you can either take the I-17 and go in through Camp Verde or take the 87 through Payson. Strawberry is about 1.5 - 2 hours Northeast of Phoenix. If you are flying into Arizona, you will need to fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor (or Mesa Gateway, if you can find a flight that works out there) and travel up to Strawberry. Please talk to Clu and Danielle about any travel questions or concerns!

Where do I stay when I get there?

If you are staying at The Cabins, please talk to Clu or Danielle. If you are not staying at The Cabins, please see the Travel tab for our lodging ideas! We do not have a room block set up anywhere because there are no large hotels in Strawberry. We hope you will consider The Strawberry Inn, it is adorable and super close to where the wedding will be. For the wedding, there will be a shuttle that can take you from where you are staying locally to the venue and back. If you are staying at The Cabins, we will talk to you directly about how to book.

What kind of meals can we expect?
Answer
We will provide dinner on Sunday, 10/9 (rehearsal) and Monday, 10/10 (wedding). We will also provide simple breakfast/brunch options on Monday 10/10 and Tuesday 10/11. The food options are limited in the Strawberry/Pine area. There are a few really great restaurants but no fast food and probably not as many convenience store options as you are used to. We tell you this so you can plan to pack a cooler, or whatever you need, to make sure you are happy and not hungry all weekend long - without having to run into Payson (1/2 hour away) to find a drive-thru. {One time Danielle had to leave a hotel where she was getting ready for a wedding to find a Jimmy John's. That wasn't a problem at all, because there was a Jimmy John's two blocks away from the hotel. However, that is just not going to be the situation during our wedding} Please bring your own snacks and lunches and we will do the very best that we can to fill you up for breakfast and dinner!

What should I wear?
Answer
For the wedding Clu and Danielle will be formal but we truly hope that you will wear whatever makes you feel great! Seriously, jeans or a suit - whatever suits you best :)

When are you taking photos?
Answer
We are planning to take the majority of our photos before the ceremony. However, we will take some with you during cocktail hour and sneak off for a few at sunset.

Are children invited?
Answer
Unfortunately, the amount of people we can invite is limited by the venue. We will be expecting a very small number of kiddos of immediate family and close friends. However, we cannot invite many children/teens because of the limitation on the size of our wedding. We will communicate as clearly as we can on the invitations. If you have any questions about who is invited, please please reach out to us. We sincerely wish that we could accommodate every member of your family and are sorry if we cannot.
