We're getting married!!

Despite attending the same secondary school, our paths didn’t properly cross until a mutual friend’s birthday party in July 2015. We were just 17 and 18. From that night, a friendship quickly blossomed, and by September 2015, we were spending more and more time together. Then, on October 29th, 2015, we made it official. To everyone’s surprise—including ours—just seven months later, in June 2016, we found out we were expecting a baby! In August, we discovered we were having a beautiful baby girl. Though we were nervous, we were so excited to begin this new chapter. On Friday 27th January 2017 at 6:24 PM, our daughter Aurora-Rae Davies entered the world, and our hearts felt so full. We were complete. On our second Valentine’s Day together, Brad proposed—and it was the easiest “yes” ever! Even though we knew it might be a while before we said “I do,” we were certain of one thing: we were each other’s forever. We continued embracing every moment of parenthood, watching Aurora grow, and building memories as a family. In August 2017, we moved into our own place and started our life together, just the three of us. In 2019, we finally took our first trip abroad—just the two of us—to Amsterdam. It’s wild to think that after four years and a child together, this was our first real getaway alone. As much as we loved the adventure, we missed Aurora like crazy. Our next trip as a couple? Our honeymoon! Then in March 2020, the world changed. COVID hit, and lockdown began. Like many others, we faced a lot of stress and uncertainty, and our dream of a wedding felt like it was slipping further away. By May 2021, wedding talk started up again. The engagement ring got an upgrade—along with a gorgeous eternity ring. But even then, we decided to focus on creating more unforgettable memories as a family. 2022 was a big year! We enjoyed a summer holiday in Spain, celebrated Halloween at Disneyland Paris, and Danie graduated from university—something that wouldn’t have been possible without Brad’s endless love and support. Then finally, in August 2023—after nearly eight years together and six years engaged—we decided it was time to look at wedding venues. The moment we saw The Mill Barns, we knew. It was love at first sight. We chose to get married the day before our ten-year anniversary, the perfect way to celebrate our journey so far and everything still to come. You’ve been with us through all the ups and downs, and we can’t wait to share this magical day with you—celebrating us, our families, and the love we have for one another.
