Reno Rodeo
The Reno Rodeo will be taking place this same weekend. June 20th- June 29th. This is one of our favorite dates as it is where Blake asked me to be his girlfriend. We are looking in to getting tickets the day after our wedding for anyone interested in going!
Lake Tahoe
You can get to both North and South Lake Tahoe within 30- 60 minutes from the Wedding Venue. America’s Most Beautiful Drive, At 22 miles long and 12 miles wide, Lake Tahoe is North America’s largest alpine lake. The lake contains enough water to cover the entire state of California to a depth of 14 inches. The water is 99 percent pure, and a white dinner plate can be seen to a depth of 70 feet. Lake Tahoe’s altitude is 6,225 feet above sea level. You can begin your travels at any point along the 72-mile (not including side trips) route around the lake.
Virginia City
At its peak, Virginia City was a thriving, vibrant metropolis of 25,000 residents. Located about 35 miles southeast of Reno, Nevada, its hills made millionaires. Silver and gold was buried deep beneath her streets and men and women traveled from around the world to live and work. Miners pulled millions of dollars from shafts and tunnels 3,000 feet beneath the thriving town. The spirit of those Comstock “originals” still inhabits the places where they once worked, lived, worshiped, educated and died. Today, visitors to Virginia City can walk with these past residents.
