I first met Blaine on December 30th, 2018 during my freshman year of college. There were a few people over at his house watching movies and I just happened to be there; not being much for large groups, I kept to myself and didn't talk very much. We were briefly introduced that night and for the next few months afterwards I saw him around at different places on Georgia Southern's campus in Statesboro. Fast forward a few months to the end of March, where he very awkwardly asked me out on a date on his front porch. I then awkwardly said yes and continued to freak out for the next week leading up to our date because I was so nervous. Even though each date went well, it wasn't until after the third date where my nerves went away and I started to open up to him. (I can't help it, I'm a nervous person.) Then, during finals week in May, something changed between us. All of a sudden, Blaine became more than someone I was going on dates with. I couldn't wait to see him and each time after we hung out I was dying to see him again. We would go on late night car rides down back roads in his blue convertible all over Bulloch and surrounding counties for hours until we'd been through multiple tanks of gas. One night we made it all the way to Vidalia! We were lucky enough to both be moving to Savannah that summer and were able to continue to grow our relationship during a new season of life. Here we are now, and I couldn't be more excited to start this new chapter of life with my very best friend and our sweet pup, Goose.
I first met Danielle the day before New Year's Eve in 2018 at my house in Statesboro. She was quiet and kept to herself that night, but I was interested - especially when I found out she drove a manual Wrangler. Fast forward a few months to March and a slight interest had turned into a pretty big crush, so I went out on a limb and asked her out on a date. After the first date she, for some odd reason, said yes to another date and to a third after that. During finals week in May was when a flip just switched and we went from somewhat awkward dates to just being comfortable with each other. We started going on rides in my little blue convertible most nights of the week and there I started to fall in love with her. I was commuting to Savannah for work at the time and she was about to move to Savannah for school, so I figured it was time for me to shorten my commute to work and I moved to Savannah the week after she did. I was head over heels at that point and we just continued to grow closer and closer. I was sure that summer that the Lord had placed her into my life to be my wife and here we are one summer later engaged and planning a wedding.
