Our story begins when Ben was in his endodontic residency program and Danielle was entering into her post graduate physical therapy degree. While in graduate school, she picked up a fitness gig at the gym on campus. Ben always made it a point to come up to her when he arrived at the gym to say ‘hello’ and then would go about his masculine workout. She remember's thinking, ‘what a genuinely nice and good looking guy!’ Little did she know Ben always had a crush on her, but had a personal rule that he would not ask a girl out at the gym because it was 'too cliche'. They both graduated from their programs. Ben moved to Colorado and Danielle moved to Chicago to be closer to home. Every year, there is a dental meeting in Chicago and in 2015 Ben reached out to her to see if she wanted to meet up with him and his friends. She remember's thinking, 'it’s Ben...from the gym!'. Never being one to go out during the week, she figured she would branch out this once. After getting all dressed up, she finally got the text from Ben saying: 'maybe we can meet up over the weekend'. (Danielle can still remember what she wore that night, nothing fancy, but it was a big deal for her!) The next night, they met at Slugger's Sports Bar (Wrigleyville). They both brought a close friend with them. Danielle was beyond shy and only really talked to Ben’s friend for most of the night. As the end of the night came upon them, they decided to make one more stop, which ended in a few more drinks and dancing. This was the moment Danielle thought 'if I don't do something now, this was all for nothing'. Enter *first kiss here*. That's right, the girl made the first move! The next weekend she was on a flight to Denver to visit Ben. They dated long distance for a year and a half before she moved to Colorado (awaiting the longest proposal ever.) They have had many stories in between and can't wait to share their 'happily ever after' in Aruba with you!
